Car history: |
1972 Corvette Convertible. 89,003 original miles. Small block 350, 4 speed manual transmission, both are original and numbers matching. Power steering, power brakes, tilt/tele steering wheel, factory air conditioning, deluxe leather interior, soft top and hard top convertible. Nassau Blue with Dark Saddle interior. I am the second owner and purchased the car in March of 2006. I have done a lot to the car - here's the list: 2007: Engine and transmission were pulled from the car and professionally rebuilt. (Less than 300 miles on the car since that time). Entire exhaust system was replaced. Brakes - pads and some lines were replaced. Gauges were rewired and all work except for the clock. Vacuum lines were fixed and the lights and windshield wiper door work fine. 2008: Entire car was sanded down to the fiberglass and repainted Nassau Blue - a 1965 Corvette color. Came out of the factory Elkhart Green, but had been painted a dark blue by the time I purchased the car. Dark Saddle is the factory correct interior color and is the color of the enterior right now. All chrome on the car was replaced - bumpers, emblems, mirrors, rocker panels. All are brand new. Weatherstripping on the car body and soft top was replaced. 2009: Carpet was replaced and heat shield was installed. Purchased new floor mats. Brand new seats from Corvette America were installed. Seat belts were replaced (Correct over-the-shoulder). Sun visors and windshield interior trim was replaced. Door panels were replaced. Center console was replaced. New tires. (Less than 100 miles on them). 2010: Engine compartment was professionally detailed. Parking brake was fixed with all new parts. Horn was fixed. Rear of car was rebuilt - differential. Purchased new hard top - was painted to match. Head liner looks brand new and matches the interior perfectly. I have all of the receipts and paperwork for everything listed above. Known issues with the car: Heater and air conditioning were disconnected before I purchased the car. I'm guessing they do not work. Factory radio does not work - have never tried to fix it. Clock does not work. Window on soft top does have some scuffs. Window on hard top does have some scuffs, but overall looks very good. One small spot on passenger side door near mirror where a screw started to go through the fiberglass during weatherstrip instillation. Touched up with color matching paint. The car runs great and is a joy to drive. It obviously gets looks when it's out. From the lack of mileage since the rebuild, you can see that I hardly drive it. I have two other cars, and I just don't have the time to drive all three. I'm moving to a large city in a few months, so parking will be an major issue. One or two cars have to go. I really love this car and have put a lot of time and money into it, but I just can't find the time to enjoy it like I want and soon I will not have the space for it. Clear Colorado title, which I have in my possession at this time. 89,003 miles from the odometer. Color codes from the trim plate. Built date is K14. July 2, 2010.
72 conv, 4 speed, 350/200HP, factory AC, PS, PB tilt/telle, delux int, matching numbers, second owner - only vette right now but this is my 3rd C3 ('79 & '81), and my 3rd convert ('62 & '91). 84,500 miles. Seen on www.c3vr.com on March 23, 2008. |
